Objectives of the eSHRAM Portal
Creation of a centralized database of all non-union workers (UW), including construction workers, migrant workers, construction and platform workers, street vendors, domestic workers, agricultural workers, etc., to seed with Aadhaar.
Improve the effectiveness of the implementation of social security services for non-unionized workers. (ii) Integration of the social security schemes for UW administered by the MoLE and, subsequently, those also administered by other ministries.
Sharing information about registered non-union workers with stakeholders such as central and state government ministries/departments/boards/agencies/organizations through API to provide additional social security and welfare schemes to be managed by them.
Portability of social security benefits and social assistance to migrant and construction workers.
Provide a comprehensive database to central and state governments to deal with any national crisis like COVID-19 in the future.
Who can register for the eShram Portal (NDUW)?
Anyone who meets the following conditions can register on the Portal:
A non-union worker (UW).
The age must be between 16 and 59 years.
Not a member of EPFO/ESIC or NPS (government funded)
Who is the unorganized worker?
Any worker who is a homeworker, self-employed worker, or employed worker in the unorganized sector, including a worker in the industry prearranged who is not a member of ESIC or EPFO or is not a government. The employee is called an unorganized worker.

The first benefit of eshram card is that death insurance of ₹2 lakh will be provided, and in case of particulate disability, financial assistance of ₹1 lakh will be provided.
